Destined in your birth,

 to climb to heights supreme,

  Desoto, you have dared to move

  a step beyond man's dreams;

Now here we stand, your children,

  our wings about to try,

We'll take a step another step,

  then rise into the sky;

You are the strength of a hand in our hand

  as you guide us to our goal,

As you lead us to the path of our flight,

  you are the wings of our soul,

We pledge, dear Alma Mater,

  that we will stand as one,

The sons and daughters of DeSoto

  till we have reached our sun.
